NEW VENDOR ALERT 🚨⁠⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠⠀ In a celebration of craftsmanship, Shannon Bingham brings over a decade of barbecue experience to @emmylousnola at St. Roch Market. Shannon served as the pitmaster and chef de cuisine at local institution Blue Oak BBQ for four years, where he helped the restaurant earn numerous awards and accolades, including three Top 5 finishes at Hogs for the Cause and Grand Champion in 2017. Before his tenure at Blue Oak, Shannon apprenticed at some of the best barbecue restaurants in Austin, Houston, and Dallas and worked under acclaimed chefs Sue Zemanick and Donald Link. Now, at St. Roch Market, Shannon strikes out on his own with Emmylou’s. ⁠⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠⠀ Named after his grandmother, Emmylou’s will serve Central Texas-style smoked meats like ribs and pulled pork as well as classic barbecue sides including potato salad and coleslaw.
