Private Events
Your Section of the Market
Reserve a space inside New Orleans' iconic food hall: twelve vendors, one dedicated attendant, and a 150-year-old building that does the rest.
A Different Kind of Venue
Not a Buyout.
Better Than a Buyout.
St. Roch Market isn't a hotel ballroom. It's a living, breathing food hall, and the best events here are the ones that lean into it. Your group gets a reserved section between the iconic white columns, while the market stays open around you. Guests wander the hall, pick from twelve independent vendors, and bring it all back to your home base. Dietary restrictions disappear. Decision fatigue disappears. Conversation starts itself.
It's an immersive experience: part event, part food tour, part neighborhood front porch. Nobody's stuck with the chicken or the fish. Everybody finds something they love.
How It Works
Three Steps to Your Event
Reserve Your Section
Pick your section of the market, a stretch of space between the cast iron columns that's yours for the event. Set up how you want. We handle tables, seating, and layout.
Get Gift Cards for Your Group
Each guest gets a gift card to spend across the market. They shop around, try different vendors, bring plates back to the table, and that's where the magic happens. People share, compare, and talk about what they're eating. It becomes family-style by nature.
Your St. Roch Butler
A dedicated attendant stays with your group from start to finish. They know every vendor's menu, the secret favorites, the best items for dietary needs. They'll bus your section, grab drinks, make recommendations, and they know the city, too, if your group needs tips beyond the market.
Ideal For
Who Books St. Roch Market
The format works best for groups that want to eat well, move freely, and actually talk to each other, not sit through a plated dinner in silence.
Corporate & Networking Groups
The number-one use case. Groups arrive, spread out across the vendors, and reconvene at their section. The shared food experience sparks conversation far more naturally than a conference-room lunch ever could. Happy hour, lunch meeting, team outing: the market handles all of it.
Tour Groups
Out-of-town groups get a real taste of New Orleans' food diversity, not a tourist trap in the Quarter. Twelve vendors, one stop. The bus pulls up, the group eats, and they leave having experienced the actual culinary gumbo of the city.
Non-Profits & Fundraisers
A relaxed, walkable environment that keeps people mingling and engaged longer than a seated dinner. The food keeps the energy up. The space keeps people moving. The bar keeps things social.
Happy Hours & Celebrations
Birthday, retirement, reunion, or just a reason to get together. No fixed menu, no dietary drama. Grab a cocktail at the bar, get a plate from whichever vendor calls to you, and settle into your section. Casual enough to relax. Nice enough to celebrate.
The Experience
Your Front Porch
in a 150-Year-Old Market
St. Roch Market has been a gathering place since 1875. It's not corporate. Every vendor is an independent small business. The bar pours real cocktails. The coffee shop makes proper espresso. And the building, with its cast iron columns and tall arched windows, has the kind of gravity that no event decorator can manufacture.
We keep it open to the public during events on purpose. Your group doesn't get a closed-off room; you get a seat at the front porch of the neighborhood. That energy is the whole point, and it's what makes events here feel like New Orleans instead of feeling like a venue.
