St. Roch Market and Auction House Market are top-ranked food halls with locations in New Orleans and Miami. Each market offers an elevated food hall dining experience with a diverse line-up of talented, entrepreneurial chefs serving up some of the most creative food and beverage options. We’re seeking Marketing & Social Media Interns to join our growing team for the Spring 2019 semester. This is a part-time role at the above-property level serving all our brands. A minimum commitment of 16 hours per week is required, including potential after-hours and weekend work. You will be based in our headquarters on St. Claude Avenue and will need to provide your own computer. Position is unpaid and eligible for school credit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with marketing team to help plan and create content for all social media channels.

  • Research and help identify relevant competitive and peer brands, influencers, organizations and groups with sizable social media following to target.

  • Assist in pro-active engagement and outreach activities to increase followership on social media channels by interacting with follower groups of relevant profiles.

  • Assist in general administrative and office organization duties including but not limited to coordinating  supplies and printing orders for marketing materials needed at each location.

  • Work with Digital Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Assistant to facilitate production and maintenance of the company’s marketing materials including web, social, brand books, general promotional graphic design, presentations and all other materials necessary to execute engagement, strategic partnership and cohesive brand definition.

  • Help gather contact information and maintain general contact and email newsletter database. Assist with engagement-focused event planning, production and post-production duties.

  • Help research and brainstorm ideas for market level activations and conduct necessary outreach and communication to execute with local teams.

  • Assist Marketing Assistant in tracking all press mentions and compiling monthly press recap for company-wide distribution.

  • Assist Marketing Assistant in planning and creation of monthly newsletter.

  • Support local marketing outreach efforts by canvassing for engagement-focused events and interacting with relevant local businesses and potential partners.

  • Provide organizational and administrative support to CMO and marketing team as needed including but not limited to researching and ordering supplies, helping to maintain a supply budget, interacting with key vendors to facilitate invoicing etc.

Skills and Experience

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent education and experience

  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Graphic design experience with ability to utilize Adobe Creative Suite is a plus

  • Strong understanding of social media content creation, engagement and targeted campaign creation

  • Detail-orientation with an eye for the big picture and a vision for driving results

  • Ability to prioritize short and long-term goals

  • Superb verbal, written and presentation skills

  • 1-2 years of marketing or related internship experience
